Testimony was one of the Official Selections from the Portland Festival of Cinema, Animation & Technology’s 2024 festival that accepted the Filmmaker Mixer Podcast offer to review their work. It is a 2D animated short student film about a young boy who claims to be best friends with a vampire. The writing is really good, as it leaves certain aspects of the story open to interpretation. It made me feel very warm the whole time watching, and interested in seeing what would happen next. Despite only being 7 minutes in length, it had me very invested in its characters and their lives. The art is also incredibly beautiful. I would love to see more from this creator, because this short film was wonderful.
