Marble Me Free was one of the Official Selections from the Portland Festival of Cinema, Animation & Technology’s 2024 festival that accepted the Filmmaker Mixer Podcast offer to review their work. It is a visual story to a poem. A woman encounters a large marble block and needs to figure out a way to deal with it.  I liked the simple black and white visual style, and how the protagonist has few defining features, making it easy to project onto her. It added to the universal nature of the film. On its own, the visual story was moving and cathartic, but the narration is what really pulls it all together, bringing a really strong context to what we are watching.
