Le Charade was one of the Official Selections from the Portland Festival of Cinema, Animation and Technology’s 2024 festival that accepted the Filmmaker Mixer Podcast’s offer to review their work. It is a stop motion animated short film about the falling out between a mime and their date. It’s funny, well written and incredibly well animated. I liked the shifts between color and black and white, and I was really impressed by the animation for the visual gags. It was really, really well done, not to mention quite funny! The expressiveness of the animation really lended itself for some great laughs.
