FORAGE

Forage was one of the Official Selections from the Portland Festival of Cinema, Animation & Technology’s 2024 festival that accepted the Filmmaker Mixer Podcast offer to review their work. It’s a really cute, stop motion animated short film about a little metal guy who has quite the day! I was smiling the whole time I watched it. All of the characters exude so much life and charm, despite all being random inanimate objects. Even the little mice were cute in their own way. Forage is one of those short films where you can just feel all of the love and creativity that was poured into it as you watch it. The ending credits were charming, exuding the same style as the rest of the film, and there’s a statement afterwards that tells us are original “found object creations by Carolyn Gair.” I hope to see more of these characters because they are endearing!

I’m so delighted about this wonderful review for my film Forage. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch our stopmotion short and for encouraging me to continue to explore Zip and the world of rustniks!
