Planet Juice Box, written and created by Thaddeus Thompson, is a hilarious stop motion animation short. Our lead character, Tex, rides a bad-ass chopper, leather jacket, headband and beard- it’s as if he just left the original Woodstock music festival. Once we meet a lovely and curvaceous hitchhiker, we are fully in on the joke written in the secondary title card, “Two of a Kind.”

With precise story-telling, we quickly discover that Tex never learns his lessons and also has shockingly odd luck. This animation is really funny, with charming twists and clever special effects. Thompson is a crackerjack storyteller, using minimal dialogue. Tex exclaims, “Again!” -saying so so much with so so little. I commend his patience and attention to detail and truly appreciate the characters designs that ooze so much personality.

Thaddeus Thompson keep the good work coming! Planet Juice Box is not just a stop motion short- it is a showcase for a rising star storyteller.
