Gary was one of the Official Selections from the Portland Festival of Cinema, Animation & Technology’s 2024 festival that accepted the Filmmaker Mixer Podcast offer to review their work. It follows two contract killers, one of whom really hates the name Gary. It sort of feels like a tiny snapshot into the lives of these two characters. It’s very entertaining, and I really enjoyed how it manages to be kind of sweet and heartfelt and humorous all at once. It had me very invested in its characters and their lives and really brought me there with them. The acting and production value in this film were both phenomenal as well.
