Old Age was one of the Official Selections from the Portland Festival of Cinema, Animation and Technology’s 2024 festival that accepted the Filmmaker Mixer Podcast’s offer to review their work. It is a surreal short film that uses a combination of photographs, artwork that appears to be AI generated, live action footage and animation. I greatly enjoyed this short, and was left very interested in knowing what the meaning behind it was. In many ways, it was an experience, and I found it well worth having.
